Though unclear about exactly what occurred, LAPD Officer Charles Rodriguez of the Los Angeles Police, who was on scene at the time, told KTLA that investigators believe three cars were involved in the crash and the third took off, leaving the McLaren and another a gray Audi sedan at the scene.

Rodriguez also told the news station it is believed the car that fled could have been racing the McLaren.

Two people were injured in the accident and transported to hospital with "moderate injuries," officer Irma Mota from the Los Angeles Police Department told Mashable.

As of Wednesday morning, there has been no update on the condition of the two people. "It was not a fatal crash, but they did sustain moderate injuries and were transported to a local hospital," Mota said.

Looking at the dramatic photos, it is unbelievable the people in the McLaren escaped alive.
